Welcome to the Oregon Republican Assembly (OR-RA) web headquarters.
The Oregon Republican Assembly (OR-RA) is an outgrowth of the California Republican Assembly (CRA) which is our nation's oldest and largest Republican volunteer organization. Following in the footsteps of California, other states formed Republican Assemblies and eventually a nationwide umbrella organization, the National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NF-RA) was formed.
In 2003 the OR-RA became one of 36 states to form a Republican Assembly. This action was triggered by the passing of Oregon's largest tax increase with the help of RINOs (Republicans in name only) within our Republican led legislature. We are dedicated to working within the Oregon Republican Party to promote the active participation of our members toward the endorsement, support, and election of principled conservative Republican candidates in the tradition of George Washington and Ronald Reagan.
"Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers." -- John Jay, October 12, 1816 (1745-1829) Founding Father who, among other positions, was First Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, member of the First and Second Continental Congresses, President of the Continental Congress and a writer of the Federalist Papers.

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs, which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell numbers..... And if there are those that cannot subscribe to these principals, THEN LET THEM GO THEIR WAY." -- Ronald Reagan. |

| "I've about had it with this reach-out-to-the moderates-and-Democrats garbage. Bipartisanship can be a technique, but you cannot sacrifice what you believe in order to be bipartisan. It's not going to get you liked, and its not going to get you respected." -- Rush Limbaugh, May 31, 2001 |
